I need suggestions for a quick stop at Disney World.
As a marriage gift to our son and his wife we are sending them on a cruise leaving from Port Canaveral. We also hoped they would be able to spend a bit of time enjoying Disney World. They are both college students and as things have turned out they are not going to be able to leave school as soon as originally planned (a teacher moved a final test date). Instead of the three days we had planned for them to be in Orlando they now will essentially only have one full day to enjoy the Orldando area. Having never been there, and seeing how many theme parks and attractions there are to choose from, I need some suggestions.
First, where to say? Inexpensive, close to the action, easy commute to Orlando International Airport. Is it best to stay near the airport and commute to the attractions, or visa versa? They will arrive the evening of April 23, 2004 and they will need to catch a bus from the airport to the Ship around 11:00 a.m. on April 25th.
Second, what to see? Because of their limited time there probably won’t be any park hopping. Which attraction would be best for them? They are active 20 and 21 year olds.
Third, How does one get around? I assume most hotels near the attractions have free shuttles. What is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel?
