I am in the beging stages of planning a trip to WDW and am leaning towards using Dreams. I was thinking about a Christmas trip, but am now thinking it might be better to plan a longer trip of two weeks or so for the summer, spliting my stay between two or three resorts. This way I can get a better idea of resorts and plan a Christmas trip for another time. So here are a few questions that I have.

1: I would probably get a package using the silver or gold plan. I might like to use the platinum package as well, but would like to know how that would work regarding the pre-itinery planning service that is included with the plan. Would I have Dreams make my PS's, then confirm them with the platinum sevice?

2: I will need two rooms connecting for myself and for of my children. I might need one additional room (non-connecting) for my oldest daughter and her friend. If she decides that she doesn't want to join us for the trip, how hard will it be to cancel the room and have any money applied to my reservation?

3: Due to my husbands field of work it is impossible to know if he can come so far in advance. How difficult will it be to add him to the reservation and package on short notice (anywhere from 2 months to 2 weeks)? Would it be better to include him when I book and drop him if it turns out he can't come? How would that work regarding his portion of the payment?

4: If due to an unforeseen emergency I find that I will need to postpone my trip on short notice, what is the penalty and proceedure?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, I know I will have afew more in the upcoming weeks before finally taking the plunge. I hope I haven't confused you too much LOL!

Hi crazyme5kids! :)

1) Dreams Unlimited handles all of your PS's for you, even if you're on the Platinum Plan. Simply let your agent know where and when you want to dine, and he/she will handle the rest! :)

2) If your daughter decides to cancel, she can do so without penalty if she cancels more than 45 days prior to her arrival date. The money will be refunded to the credit card used to pay the deposit.

3) It would be easier to add your husband at a later date rather than remove him. If you remove him from the reservation less than 45 days out, there will be a fee to do so; if you add him at the last minute, you simply pay the his portion of the package. When you add him to the reservation, payment is due at that time.

4) As long as you postpone, there is no penalty if you do so last minute. Simply let you agent know, and he/she will handle the change for you.

Have fun! :)

Thank you for the quick reply! If I add my husband at a later date, how will that affect character meals and anyother special things I might book? Will we be able to add him, or should he be factored into those type of reservations from the get go?

The only meals where adding your husband would be a problem would be either of the Princess breakfasts. It would be easier to include him initially and then remove him at a later date than leave him off initially and then add him on later. Since the princess breakfasts are extremely popular, it's hard to add people on after the initial booking. Otherwise, you should have no problems. :)
